Travelling North from Austria you will reach Czech Republic, a country once known to be a part of Czechoslovakia. This relatively young state owns its present name to the year 1993, a final year of Velvet Revolution when Communist regime was finally overthrown.Czech Republic is divided into two regions known as Bohemia and Moravia. During recent years, after the creation of the new Republic, a strong influx of tourists emerged but, nevertheless, it didn’t have much impact on the country’s silent and relaxed pace. Countryside is amazing with undulating plains and verdant mountains where numerous mediaeval chateaux are situated. Czech Republic has a variability of wonderfully preserved medieval towns - charming little places which are each year attracting more and more visitors.Prague The highlight of this country is its capital Prague that is a part of Bohemia, or to be geographically precise, situated almost in the middle of Czech Republic. This city was and is considered a crossroads of Europe and for this reason, during the reign of Charles IV, it was viewed as more important than London and Paris.
