Sibenik Croatia – Travel Destinations

Sibenik is the only town on the Adriatic Sea which has no Greek-Roman heritage. Founded around the eleventh century, it fell under the Venetians in the fifteenth century, becoming an outpost for their battle with the Ottomans. Sibenik was a thriving industrial port, until 1990 when, after the war and postwar period, aluminum and chrome plants were shut, the city became the least developed region of Dalmatia. Today, Šibenik’s charm comes from the narrow, winding streets, the stone steps leading to the center of the city and the ruins of the fortifications that stretch to the sea. St. James Cathedral, located on the UNESCO World Heritage List is the main attraction.

Bosnia-Herzegovina is a country shaped like a heart situated in the middle of Southeast Europe. Here have met the Eastern and Western civilizations, sometimes they had conflict, but most of the times they helped and supported each other throughout a long and fascinating history. Bosnia-Herzegovina is a long name for a country that has a little over 50,000 km². Bosnia covers the northern and central regions of the country, the name probably coming from the word "bosana" of Indo European origin, which means water. The southern region of the old Hum was named Herzegovina after it was conquered by the Ottomans.Talking about Bosnia-Herzegovina is hard not to remember the Yugoslavian wars, which took place in the Balkan territories for the most part of the 1990s. The losses consisted in thousands of human lives, villages and cities left in ruins. Despite all of this, Bosnia remained a beautiful country, and its rivers never lost their charm. The reach culture and history can be seen in the beautiful mosques, in amphitheaters and Catholic altars. Its land varies from forests and mountains to hills and straight plains.

Republic of San Marino is one of the smallest countries in Europe and in the world, located in central Italy. Holidays To Barcelona

Barcelona is a city that competes with her sister city, Real Madrid, which is also the capital city of Spain. Barcelona is the second largest city after Madrid and claims the sixth spot as the most populated area in within the European Union. Having been around 400 years before Rome, Barcelona has its share of history.The population here is largely Catholic and this again was due to early engagement by the mighty Roman Empire. The most spectacular building to visit is Sagrada Familia. This church holds much significance to inhabitants of Barcelona as well as the entire Roman Catholic followers. This church is a sight to behold when it’s lit at night. The whole church glows in a golden glow with its spike like roofing giving an impression of a queen’s crown. Other wonderful architectures in Barcelona are Torre Agar ancient churches Santa Maria Del Mar, Santa Maria del Pi and Barcelona Cathedral.

Republic of Macedonia is a country located in the heart of the Balkans, bordering Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece and Albania.
